Tilt – verb
What may happen after a Donkey Sucks Out and cracks your pocket Aces. Typically when someone loses a hand that they’re a favorite to win and/or takes a string of losses at the table. Symptoms of Tilt are making bad calls when you know you’re behind in a hand, raising with weak hands, and bluffing players that typically can’t be bluffed. Other examples are a player trying to “win it all back” quickly by moving up to much higher limits and playing beyond their ability level.
Tilt can have serious consequences for a player, losing his or her bankroll being the primary danger.
This guy took such a sick beat that he went on tilt big time… Lost it alll in one sitting because he went from 2/4 NL to 25/50 and bought in for his whole ‘roll.
