Full Tilt Poker ended last week with a bang, making several additions to their sponsored players’ roster. First up was Full Tilt Poker’s announcement that they had signed Heavyweight boxer Audley Harrison as a sponsored player. Harrison is an avid poker player, and should bring a lot of publicity to the site as he prepares to fight for the heavyweight title in England on November 15th.
Next up was the announcement that Full Tilt Poker had signed yet another athlete, tennis superstar James Blake, to their “Friends of Full Tilt Poker” roster –a collection of celebrities, athletes, and business moguls that share a passion for poker.
Mere hour’s later word trickled down from Full Tilt Poker that they had wooed former Party Poker pro Felipe ‘mojave’ Ramos to the site. Ramos, one of the most well-known Brazilian poker players, gives Full Tilt Poker a strong presence in South America, and will likely lead any Full Tilt Poker pros who make the trek to play in rival PokerStars’ Latin American Poker Tour.
We’ll have to wait and see if Full Tilt Poker keeps adding more talent as the World Series of Poker Main Event Final Table nears, which creates a huge surge in searches for poker on the Internet.
