His initial foray into the highest stakes games in the world didn’t start out on quite the right foot for the anonymous player using the screen-name Cadillac1944 on Full Tilt Poker, who after competing at the nosebleed tables for a few months found himself down over $2 million.
However, Cadillac1944’s luck would begin to change against Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan in a $500/$1,000 PLO battle earlier this week that saw Dwan lose a massive $740,000 according to highstakesdb.com. Cadillac1944 followed this up with a series of smaller wins against the likes of Di “URinDanger” Dang among others, eventually ending the day with around $1 million in profits. He was then able to take a good chunk off of another high-stakes newcomer (albeit, one with a much better track record) DrugsorMe. In their two sessions Cadillac1944 ended the day up some $438,000.
Unfortunately his uptick came to a screeching halt yesterday at the Full Tilt Poker tables where according to highstakesdb.com he dropped $578,000 to DrugsorMe in just 222 hands! Cadillac1944 then went on to play a short 66 hand session against Di ‘URinDanger” Dang, and promptly lost $260,000! So all-in-all, Cadillac1944 was losing roughly $2,900 per hand yesterday!
All said, Cadillac1944 is still $540,000 to the good this week, but with these types of wild swings I have to wonder if we are dealing with another Isildur1 here?
